During the initial consultation, Dr. Stanga will spend time getting to know you, your symptoms, and your health history to better understand how to approach your unique patient case. The report of finding is where she will share her thoughts on how to move forward and what specific tests will need to be performed.
Dr. Stanga will recommend labs geared specifically towards identifying your root causes. She will narrow down the most important and impactful tests that are needing to be done so that money isn’t wasted on testing that doesn’t have a big impact on your recovery. Every recommendation is different but most frequently recommended panels are chronic infections, comprehensive stool analysis as well as specialty urine testing.
Personalized protocols are created and tailored to your individual needs and test results. This visit is typically done 2-3 weeks after testing has been performed.
Patients who continue working with us will have regular follow ups every couple of weeks or monthly to review your progress, re-assess lab work when needed, tweak your program, and answer questions. You will work closely with Dr. Stanga over the course of 7-12 months as she walks you through your treatment plan.

Functional Medicine asks how and why illness occurs and addresses the root cause of disease in order to restore function and promote optimal wellness.
I rely on a detailed understanding of each patient’s health history, symptoms, targeted test results, lifestyle factors, and leverage that data to direct personalized treatment plans.
I am a Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) specializing in Functional Medicine. I received my doctorate from Parker University. My post doctorate education is through the Institute of Functional Medicine. I have received complete training in the biological sciences such as anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology, epidemiology, histology, blood chemistry, neurology and pharmacology. As well as extensive training in the areas of clinical nutrition, homeopathic and botanical medicine. I am currently a trusted educator for a top homeopathic company and frequently help to educate practitioners all over the country on their complex patient cases. Recently, I partnered with a naturopathic university to create a Lyme certification course training practitioners on this ever increasing issue related to chronic illness.
No, I am a Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) specializing in Functional Medicine. Therefore, I do not practice medicine and do not diagnose or treat diseases or medical conditions. I focus my practice on promoting health and optimal function. My services are not meant to substitute or replace those of a medical doctor but my programs are meant to work in conjunction with them.
No. I do not prescribe or make recommendations about prescription medications or controlled substances. Your prescribing medical doctor will manage all medications. I use natural, noninvasive methods to include immune therapy, homeopathy, herbs, supplements, and lifestyle changes to address the underlying causes of disease and promote optimal function and health.
The best way to see if functional medicine is right for you is to explore the website, check out the “Work With Me” page, read through our google reviews, and testimonials, and listen to the podcast. I created the podcast specifically to give you as much information as possible about my journey into functional medicine, my approach, and the results that I typically see with patient cases. I also have a robust library of video resource reels on my Instagram and Facebook profiles that would help you determine if functional medicine and my unique approach is for you.
Yes, of course! We often work with patients virtually. Check out our “Work With Me” page for more information on how to schedule your appointment.
I work with a wide variety of health issues. Autoimmune conditions, allergic response, inflammatory conditions, MCAS, POTS, Lyme, PANDAS/PANS, Mold toxicity, Epstein Barr Virus, Long Haul Covid, Metabolic issues, digestive, mood and energy issues all walk through our practices door regularly. Bottom line- everything has a root cause and regardless of the symptoms or current diagnosis you’ve been given- the vast majority of conditions are linked to a dysregulated immune response and chronic infections.
I successfully work with mold patients, however I view mold as a triggering event versus a root cause. My approach will be to address what is actually causing the symptoms that the mold exposure triggered. This will entail balancing the immune response and addressing infections that likely reactivated because of the mold exposure. For more information on this subject please listen to episode 6 of my podcast.
I am always happy to look at any recent lab result that you feel might be relevant to your patient case however, please note that most results patients bring in aren’t specific enough or relevant to the actual root cause of their symptoms/conditions.
There aren’t side effects, rather intended effects. It is expected during the process symptoms can become exacerbated. This is actually a good sign that the immune system is responding to the therapy. The process can seem like a roller coaster ride with good days and bad days along the way. This is why I hold your hand through the process to ensure your journey goes as smoothly as possible. For more information, please listen to my podcast where I interview several patients to help you better understand what to expect!
